Revisiting Left, Right and Evil Sheep

Here’s the link to the original story from last year. http://wp.me/p1hLeX-N

I feel the need to bring this up again because lately I have been watching as these extremists that are bought and paid for mostly by big corporations are running for the office of the President.

Aren’t there more important things going on right now in the world than egos and greed?

I mean seriously what office are you going to run if the health of the planet sinks any further into the point of no return?

Societal and ecological collapse will bring us to Mad Max scenarios. Survival of the fittest, here we come..

I’m seriously considering building an underground shelter and getting prepared for this in case any of these pro fossil fuel, fracking, planet killing greedy bastards actually make into office.

Start growing your own organic food and hoarding seeds now so that you won’t have to come to blows with some lunatic over the last apple on the tree.

Ok I know I must sound like a loon right now, but watching all these events unfold, numerous oil spills killing the oceans, earthquakes caused by fracking, volcanic eruptions, tornadoes, severe weather, etc…

Wake up people, our planet is trying to tell us that we have taken too much.

The Native Americans were right, like I quoted in The Awakening of Mom,

The whites too shall pass; perhaps sooner than all other tribes. Continue to contaminate your bed, and you will one night suffocate in your own water.”

I am doing what I can to ‘wake’ people up, but when I see all this propaganda on tv and the internet and my most trusted tv news source is the Weather Channel because they actually acknowledge climate change, I feel like the smallest fish in the sea.

I know this isn’t the case because of my twitter enviro tweeps and the protests that are popping up all over the place.

I just hope that its not all too little too late for us as a species and that we can all wake up to a new way of dealing with our world and eachother.

The Mayans have given us the translation of what the end of their calendar is supposed to mean. I hope they are right and that we have enough aware people to make the ‘transition’ to the next phase a positive one, as it is supposed to be.

“The prophesied changes are going to happen, but our attitude and actions determine how harsh or mild they are. We need to act, to make changes, and to elect people to represent us who understand and who will take political action to respect the Earth.”

Ok enough rambling for now. My hope is that this post won’t make you think I’m nuts, but that there are forces at work much bigger and more powerful than our little selfish human minds, therefore, we need to be aware and in tune to what they are trying to tell us..

Peace out

Winter Funk

I hate getting the ‘winter funk’, or seasonal affective disorder as my Dr calls it. This is totally that time of year for me. Having dealt with being depressed for most of my life, do I really need the extra downer? I’m thinkin no.

Just don’t feel like much, just blah. It’s no ones fault or any one thing that is making it happen, just my own little messed up brain chemicals reacting to a lack of sunlight, possibly a vitamin D deficiency. Wonder if you can buy vitamin D?

Maybe a B12 shot would help. I’ve heard that after getting one, most people feel instantly a lot better.

Maybe some pure oxygen. I’m sure there isn’t any round here except in the tanks in the hospital. Lol. Was outside for a few hours today shoveling snow and playing with my daughter, which helped.

It was strange though to smell grass when there was 3 or so inches of snow on the ground. We were building a small snowman, so I had to shovel the snow on the lawn to where we were building. When I went a little deep, I hit earth and that fresh smell came up.

If my gloves weren’t wet through and I wasn’t starting to get cold, I probably would have stayed out longer.

Wish there was a quick fix to this crap mood. I guess y’all are just gonna have to put up with me as is for now. Ugh

Howdy Doodies!

I just felt like writing…don’t know where this post will go yet. Maybe just some random ramblin to amuse..lol.

Last post was of a political annoyance, so I’m not goin there, hmmmm, ok how bout what I been up to?

Ok, so since the last time I wrote about myself, My Mom had brain surgery on Dec 14th. All went well and she’s recovering at my brothers with my nephew as her daytime care giver and her occupational therapist a few times a week.

The day after Christmas I left for a little adventure that included visiting my friends new home, meeting my sister that I told you about after our fathers passing, I went to a wedding, and was pseudo-adopted by my sisters Mom 🙂

Ok step one of trip, Rocky Mount, NC. My good friends new home is wonderful. They finally have enough room to decorate to express the warm loving people that they are. Most people buy a smaller home when they retire and move, but not them. They bought a bigger one so that they can have friends and family visit since they are now out of state. I wish them all the best and thanks for the short but comfy stay. Love yas. PS, we will be back..lol

Step two of trip, Myrtle Beach, SC. Broadway at the Beach to be exact. It’s a mall built around a man made lake with a ton of stuff to do and see. Since it was off-season, we figured it’d be mellow and maybe enough stuff open year round to make it fun. Met my sis and her mom there, stayed in the same hotel, right across the hall. Lol. Meeting my sister was super cool. Even though I’d done it twice before with my sisters from my mothers side, I guess the butterflies and the whole ‘will she like me’, ‘will we get along’, ‘how’s her mom feel about meeting me’ were all there making me feel like it was the first time I met a new family member. She was nervous too cause for her it was the first time. Shockingly, I didn’t cry…I did well up, as did she, but we didn’t leak…lol…seems we have a lot in common and the more we facebook, the more we learn. My daughter took to her like she’d known her forever, and as new as it all was it did kinda feel that way…that Brisson blood is strong…Her Mom was this super cool, down to earth, hipppyish sweetheart who now considers me her ‘other’ daughter. I have a feeling, no, I know, that if she had accepted our fathers marriage proposal back in the day, he would have had a much happier, less stressful life.

Step three of trip, Columbia, SC, for my fiancee’s oldest nephew’s wedding. The part of his family that we don’t see often because they currently live in Thailand were there, it was their son getting married. The hotel was super nice and we were all staying there, so we got to see them a little more at breakfast and just around the hotel. The wedding was cool. There were a few different aspects to the theme of the service, as both bride and groom have lived all over the world and brought some of their favorites into it, like the music, the little strut up the aisle, etc..The reception was different and fun, with games, like the back to back questioning of the newlyweds to see how much they actually agreed on certain things, the open mic for storytelling by guests, and the auction of the cheesecakes with the proceeds going to the newlyweds.

All in all it was a quick trip with a lot of driving, but was worth every mile, even though I did NONE of the driving…Thanks to my fiancee 🙂

We had a wonderful time and wish that we could have stayed longer at each step of the trip, but we managed to fit in all of that in 4 days and 3 nights. Whew. Felt a little jet lagged when we got home. Took a couple days to feel normal again…

OK that’s all for now I guess, excuse any errors as I typed this on my phone…lol

Envy? Really?

So I woke up to Matt Lauer chatting with Santorum this morning about the NH primary.. Ok ready for this? He actually believes that the 99% are envious of the 1% for being rich and that Prez Obama is inciting the 99% into class warfare.

‘WE’ AREN’T ENVIOUS OF THE 1% YOU MORON. WE ARE UPSET THAT WE WORK JUST AS HARD, IF NOT HARDER AND ACTUALLY PAY OUR SHARE OF TAXES WHILE ‘THEY’ SIT, 2 PEOPLE IN A 400 ROOM MANSION PAYING LESS TAXES THAN SOMEONE WHO MAKES 50K A YEAR AND THAT 50K A YEAR WORKER IS LOSING HIS HOUSE BECAUSE OF THE CURRENT FINANCIAL CRISIS THAT WAS CAUSED BY THE GREED OF THE 1%.

Don’t even get me started on the empty homes and military bases that the homeless could be using.

Everyone’s soo concerned about the deficit. Here’s what we do:

1. Fix the tax code to be fair. Even corporations and the rich need to pay.
2. Stop interfering in other countries problems because of our interest in their GDP. WAR costs money we don’t have.
3. Bring jobs home from overseas so we can have a competitive GDP and put OUR country back to work. Also, make US companies that outsource to other countries pay fines or higher taxes.
5. GET PRIVATE INTEREST $$ OUT OF POLITICS, LOBBYING SHOULD BE ILLEGAL..IT IS GLORIFIED BRIBERY.
6. Get these severe right and left loonies out of the public eye. I swear you have to be nuts to support any of them..
7. Treat corporations like businesses not people and make them pay their fair share as well.

Ok rant over..
